We love weddings that break from tradition, so when Ann-Marie and physicist Mark asked us to create “the moon and the stars” inspired florals for their PapaKata TeePee wedding set in the lush woodlands of Camp Katur, we were a just little excited to say the least.
Florals were light and luminescent, full of soft texture with nude tones and accents of grey. Reflective of star light and moon rock, in keeping with the couples theme.
Ann-Marie’s bouquet was packed full of florals, blowsy ivory Peonies, white spray Roses and nude pink Stocks, were softened with Veronica, Astilbe, and delicate Nigella. Wax flower and Thlaspi told a story of astronomy and shooting stars.
Grey succulents and Lambs Ear were used to add a cool tone to overall palette.
For the bridal party we incorporated more of the pink to compliment their beautiful nude dresses.
Mark’s buttonhole was kept super fresh, with delicate Nigella, Veronica, Rosemary and cool Lambs Ear, juxtaposed by the rustic twine used to finish.
The couple were wed outdoors in the magical woodlands of Camp Katur. Large urns framed the ceremony, jam packed with an abundance of florals. Huge white Hydrangeas were offset by the textured blooms used within the bouquets, while the white bells of Campanulas tied in perfectly with the Lunar Lanterns hanging above.
Pretty Shepherd crooks, of Hydrangeas, Veronica and Lisianthus lined the aisle.
The reception took place in our favourite PapaKata TeePee’s set up in the glamping meadows.
Masses of soft glowing fairy lights illuminated our clusters of glass bottles filled with the soft and textured florals used throughout, giving an overall twinkling night sky feel.
