Elegant Pastel Summer Wedding

October 25, 2017

Ruth and Adam’s wedding was the epitome of elegance. They had a marquee from Shades and their day was a timeless English country feel captured so brilliantly by Claire Morgan photography. They had perfect wedding planning by Eden and Eve , add to this the always amazing cake design by Poppy Pickering, and you can see why this wedding was always going to be a stunning one and one of our favourites this year.

Ruth and Adam chose to incorporate White, Ivory and Blush tones, with touches of Light Pink and pops of Powder Blue into their scheme, which gave a soft, romantic feel to their day.  The tones were perfectly offset by the silvery green eucalyptus foliage we used for the designs.

The date of their wedding allowed us to revel in the abundance of summer blooms available to us at that time of year.  We had the pick of the bunch (pardon the pun!) when focusing on what flowers we would use in their arrangements. We chose a beautiful  mix of Peonies, Hydrangea, Nigella, Delphiniums,  Sweet Peas, Lisianthus and of course Roses.

Ruth’s Bridal Bouquet featured all the stunning blooms we used in the arrangements. We incorporated delicate stems of foliage, and bound the bouquet with long trails of blue silk ribbon which tied in with the bridesmaid’s dresses. This pastel colour palette really was beautiful to work with. Complete and utter romance.
