In June Hannah married Patrick in the beautiful Church on the Newby Hall estate, with their reception in a Wills Marquee on the Newby Hall grounds. This wedding was a fresh, bright floral delight and I’m sure you will agree that the way Dominic Wright has captured this summer wedding is just utterly stunning. The day was also planned to perfection by Lucy Wright Events.
The warm summer day reflected the fragrant, summer blooms we chose to use. The style that Hannah and Patrick wanted was an elegant country style, which had a natural feel. The colour scheme included bright summery tones of White, Ivory, Blush, Peach, Soft Green and pops of Coral.
Patrick is a farmer, which is why we incorporated sprigs of wheat into the buttonhole. This was a lovely feature and added a personal touch to their day.
Victoria Farr did the most amazing job on Hannah’s make-up for the day.
Hannah’s Bridal Bouquet was a delicious mixture of Roses, including O’Hara, Miss Piggy, Romantic antique and Quicksand, Stocks, Sweet Pea, Nigella, Veronica, Astilbe, Lisianthus, Anemone, Coral Hypericum berries and huge Coral Charm Peonies. I wish we could have captured the scent of this bouquet. It was just incredible!
The always wonderful Poppy Pickering cake design complimented the florals perfectly.
We used milk churns to frame the entrance of the church and also the entrance of the Sperry. We love the natural feel that these create. They make a great alternative to the soft domed shape created by urns. The Milk churns add height and texture and fitted in perfectly with the English country feel of the day.
We dressed the marquee with a mixture of high and low designs. All these stunning high designs were oasis foam free, which created the most beautiful, loose gathered garden style.
The floral Chandelier was a real focal point, using luscious foliage and trailing silver birch, with Hydrangea, Roses and Peonies dotted throughout. This wedding was just a sheer joy!
