Jen and Jon’s wedding at The West Mill in Derbyshire was a real high point from this Wedding season. Cinzia Bruschini photographed their day to utter perfection! The beautiful styling on the day was done by Lisa Smith from the wonderful Isla and Smith.
Jen and Jon chose a palette of White, Ivory and green with pops of blush and light pinks. The brief behind this scheme was to combine a very natural, textural and rustic element to the floral designs, but still to keep a romantic feel.
Jon chose for his button hole a succulent with hints of delicate foliage. Succulents were then referenced throughout the table and reception centrepieces and also in the bridesmaid’s bouquets.
The star of the show in Jen’s bouquet had to be the stunning Protea’s. These were Jens favourite and gave the most amazing pop of colour and texture to the mix of blooms we chose for the bouquets. Jen’s natural and loose bouquet combined a mixture of Protea, Spray Roses, Astrantia, Astilbe, Lisianthus, Ranunculus, Rustic Olive Foliage and Eucalyptus, and was bound with soft trailing ivory silk ribbon.
The asymmetric installation hung so beautifully in this room, with the exposed brick work and iron beams. The juxtaposition of the industrial elements against the soft florals and garland worked so well.
The table decoration featured a rustic mixed garland that incorporated Eucalyptus and Olive that measured over 100 feet long! It made such a statement draped beautifully over the long trestle tables.
